Letter of recommendation from Novosibirsk State Medical University

We present a letter of recommendation from Novosibirsk State Medical University, in which Professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy and Medical Rehabilitation, Chief Consulting Physiotherapist of Novosibirsk region, MD, PhD V.Drobyshev reports on the results of comparing verified diagnoses and VedaPulse assessments data.

Letter of recommendation

The VedaPulse functional biohacking system uses the analysis of heart rate variability based on cardiointervalography (CIG). The analysis of heart rate variability based on the method of cardiointervalography (CIG) is an integral method for assessing the state of the mechanisms of regulation of physiological ftlnctions in the body. In particular, the current activity of the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions is the result of a multicircuit and multi-level reaction of the blood circulation regulation system that changes its parameters in time to achieve optimal adaptive response, which reflects the compensatory functions of the body. Deviations that occur in the regulatory systems precede hemodynamic, metabolic, energy disorders and, therefore, are the earliest prognostic signs of a subject’s ailments.

In this regard, the study on heart rate variability with the use of the VedaPulse device, has an important prognostic and diagnostic value for the pre-nosological assessment of functional abnormalities in a wide variety of pathologies. The device implements the original author’s method for calculating the scale of functional deviations in the systems and organs of a subject, based on the indices of spectral and time domain analysis of CIG. This allows calculating the risks of developing pre-nosological conditions and autonomic dysfunction associated with functional conditions in the following systems: respiratory, urinary, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal.

When analyzing the statistical probability of the matching of the calculated indices of the functional state with a patient’s verified diagnosis during the period of exacerbation existing disease, it was found that the estimate indicators obtained on the VedaPulse device, according to the state of the bronchopulmonary system, correlate with the degree of activity of pathological processes in patients with respiratory diseases in 82,4% of cases. Estimate indicators of the state of the urinary system correlate with the degree of activity of pathological processes in urological patients in 86,2% of cases, estimate indicators of the state of the cardiovascular system correlate with the degree of activity of pathological processes in patients with cardiovascular diseases in 88,6%, estimate indicators of the state of the gastrointestinal tract correlate with the degree of activity of pathological processes in patients with gastroenterological profile in 91,3% of cases.

Thus, application of the CIG method used in the VedaPulse device at the stage of preventive examinations and dispensary observations of patients with diseases of internal organs can be recommended in order to stratify the risks of exacerbation of the underlying;disease and correct treatment and rehabilitation schemes.
