Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) occupy the first place in the structure of morbidity and mortality worldwide due to the epidemic of obesity. Over the past 20 years, the prevalence of obesity has increased by 2 times. Every third adult in Europe is obese.
However, recent studies have shown that with the same food intake, the susceptibility to weight gain is different - a possible reason is the different metabolic activity of the microbiome.
