Software module

Osteopathy is a brand new software module by VedaPulse® which will help you to precisely evaluate spinal column condition. Osteopathy allows defining the connection between spinal pathologies and diseases of the internal organs with very high accuracy, thus assisting you in developing the most effective individual rehabilitation strategy for your clients.

Features of the module

With Osteopathy, instantly detect the functional changes in five major parts of the spine, find the presence or the likelihood of dorsopathy (vertebrae pathology), line up the connection between the pathology and the condition of nerves and organs (whether there is a tendency to exacerbation of the chronic pathologies of the vertebrae, or degenerative-dystrophic changes in the vertebral joints, etc.).

VedaPulse® system identifies the problematic zone on the spine, and then finds the possible connection between the problem and present internal organ pathology. For example, it is well-known that in osteochondrosis associated with the epistropheus (the second cervical vertebra), such sensations as headaches, migraines occur, localized predominantly in the occipital region, as well as vision disorders, vegetative-vascular changes, hearing sense disorders, facial parastesia, masticatory muscle trisms, neurotic disorders, neuroses and hypochondria. VedaPulse® Professional is your loyal assistant in finding the connection between these problems at two different levels!

We plan to pass 3 tabs in the development of the module:

Features of the Osteopathy module:

  1. Examining the functional dorsopathy each particular vertebra;
  2. Visual representation of each vertebra on the spine image;
  3. Assigning each vertebra with a color legend, denoting the condition:
    • Green – no functional pathology present, unless it is compensated;
    • Light green – a tendency to form chronic dorsopathy, the stage is characterized with an absence of clinical manifestations (the condition falls into the wide category of norm);
    • Yellow – chronic dorsopathy with metabolic changes in the intervertebral discs or vertebral joints, impaired process of ossification of the vertebral body with a tendency to develop osteopenia and osteoporosis. A tendency to pathological vertebrovisceral interconnections;
    • Pink – a tendency to exacerbation of the chronic dorsopathy;
    • Red – exacerbation of the chronic dorsopathy, possibly accompanied with pain syndrome.
  4. Specification of the seat of the pathology as per its lateralization for each particular vertebra: right-lateral, central or left-lateral location of dorsopathy;
  5. Assessment of possible vertebrovisceral pathological connections, creating a list of possible pathological deviations and tendencies to certain diseases;
  6. Detailed anatomical and physiological description of each vertebra;
  7. Description of the connection of a vertebra with the nerve plexuses and peripheral nerves that may be involved in the development of the pathological process in the chronic dorsopathy;
  8. Creation of an automatic report based on the results of the functional assessment.

Shows innervation zones on the body image according to the visceral-neuronal connections (these zones may reveal themselves with an impaired sensitivity in the zone, feeling of discomfort and pain due to pathologies presented in the corresponding vertebrae).

The program algorithm analyzes the vertebrovisceral connections with organs and systems, defines possible pathologies and their localization automatically and colors each zone in one of four possible colors depending on the condition:

  • Light green – wide range of normal condition;
  • Pink – tendency to exacerbation of the chronic dorsopathy;
  • Red — exacerbation of the chronic dorsopathy;
  • Yellow – chronic vertebral dorsopathy in the vertebra associated with a particular zone.

Detailed description of the nerves that innervate the highlighted zone is displayed, as well as matching vertebra or group of vertebrae (in the Spinal column tab).

Recommendations (soft manual techniques and exercises to practice at home (with video instructions).

In development.

Who will benefit from using this module?

The module is quite a find for all health practitioners working with the body techniques (massage therapists, osteopaths, manual therapists, naturopaths, yoga therapists, etc.) or anyone planning to incorporate principles of osteopathy in practice.
