2018-12-29

Traditionally, in December we stay for a while to have a look back and share with you VedaPulse memories of the past year. Let’s remember the most vivid moments that will become history in a few days.

On February 2-3, 2018 our company in partnership with the "VedaEducation" project organized the first international online Congress on Ayurveda. 500 participants had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the reports of world-class specialists from India, Russia, Europe and America within 2 days of the Congress in a non-stop mode. Among the speakers of the Congress were Dr. Robert Svoboda, Vaidya Atreya Smith and more than 30 leading experts from all over the world who presented reports on modern Auyrvedic trends.

In February, the author of the VedaPulse instrumental pulse diagnostics Oleg Sorokin met with Ministers of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy Ministry of India (AYUSH). Oleg Sorokin is not only a scientist who developed the VedaPulse device, but also is the Executive Director of NAMAR - the National Ayurvedic Medical Association of Russia. The meeting discussed the development of Ayurveda in Russia, federal educational standards for the Ayurveda specialists education, clinical trials of Ayurvedic drugs, educational literature publishing, as well as research conducted by NAMAR, including the VedaPulse scientific development.

It is significant that the first training seminar this year was held in India and was organized by our official representative Sandeep Goswamy.

The next ambitious educational project was held in India in March 2018. For the first time, a group of VedaPulse users from Russia had a three-week internship at Amrita School of Ayurveda (Kerala, India), the training program included analysis of clinical cases, practice of counseling patients and introduction to Ayurvedic procedures.

At the same time, in March, the author of the VedaPulse technology Oleg Sorokin represented lectures on algorithms of a personalized therapeutic approach in the VedaPulse device at a meeting of the Quantum Medicine Association (Belgrade, Serbia) and at a seminar for European specialists of traditional medicine (Rome, Italy).

It is impossible to overestimate the importance of the educational component for the community of professional VedaPulse users, face-to-face seminars are a place for meetings, exchange of experience and training. Such events invariably cause a warm response among professionals. Seminar on pulse diagnosis "VedaPulse-2018" was held on April 13-15 in Moscow and gathered 60 specialists of traditional medicine. Participants from Russia, India, Canada, Thailand, Lebanon, Israel, Serbia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan studied the basics of pulse diagnosis for 3 days, they got acquainted with the clinical protocols of the patient's condition analysis from the perspective of traditional healing systems (Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese medicine) and shared their unique experience with colleagues.

May was marked by the presentation of a new VedaPulse module "Herbal encyclopedia" - the result of hard work by Dr. Oleg Sorokin and a group of experts. This module is a clear confirmation of how the use of a systematic integrated approach can greatly enhance the therapeutic effect of herbal medicine. The module created on the basis of the canonical descriptions of medicinal plants from the position of Dravyaguna in Ayurvedic practice, Materia Medica of Chinese Herbology and the healing properties of plants from the position of clinical Western herbal medicine.

Summer was a hot time, on June 9-10 southern Krasnodar hosted a seminar on pulse diagnosis, within 2 days 25 specialists in traditional medicine studied clinical protocols of different patients conditions and in practice mastered the basic principles of pulse diagnosis. On June 29-30, representatives of the Middle East societies of complementary medicine from Kuwait, Oman, Algeria, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Sudan and Lebanon had the opportunity to study the basics of working with the device of the VedaPulse diagnosis at a seminar in Beirut (Lebanon), organized by partners our partners - "Milta" company - which has been actively working for more than 7 years to promote methods of instrumental pulse diagnosis in the region.

In July, the new VedaPulse module "Aroma encyclopedia" was launced. "Aromaencyclopedia" not only allows to search for a selection of essential oils for more than 64 pharmacological properties based on the analysis of the latest scientific data in the field of aromatherapy and phytopharmacology, but also takes into account possible contraindications and provides aromatherapists and naturopaths with an unique tool for aromatherapy training. "Aroma respiratory training" is a unique technique that combines aromatherapy, respiratory training and modern technologies of objective visualization of the functional state of a person during therapy.

The first to assess all options of the "Aromatherapy " module was a group of VedaPulse users - participants of the VedaEducation project, which passed a practical course of pulse diagnosis in the Ashram of Dr. Vasant Lad (Pune, India) in August. Dr. Vasant Lad blessed the author of VedaPulse technology for further progress and technology algorithms development including analysis of Samprapthi (pathogenesis) stages.

In August Dr. Oleg Sorokin and his team had a working trip to India, a two-week intensive pulse diagnosis in the Indian cities of new Delhi and Pune was full of important events.

Specialists in traditional medicine from different states of India were acquainted with the basics of the VedaPulse device operating within the workshops. Oleg Sorokin showed how the heart rate variability method can be used in palpatory analysis in accordance with the canons of Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine.

Отдельно в ходе семинаров были разобраны принципы создания программы реабилитации с использованием модулей «Фитоэнциклопедия» и «Аромаэнциклопедия».

In September 2018, for the first time, seminars on pulse diagnosis were organized for Spanish-speaking users of VedaPulse in Spain and Colombia, a big step was made in promoting the technology of instrumental pulse diagnosis in Latin America.

On October 6-7, a traditional seminar for doctors from Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Mexico and Belgium was organized by our partner Rob Verheij for the fourth time in Harderwijk (the Netherlands). On November 3-4 in Serpiano (Switzerland) Valentina Domanska – our partner in Italy – held a seminar where specialists from Italy and Switzerland successfully mastered the instrumental part of the VedaPulse device and studied interpretation of the basic VedaPulse indices.

All of the above mentioned events are our practical contribution to the development of Ayurveda in Russia. But this complex issue must be addressed in parallel at all levels, so the CEO of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, the author of the VedaPulse technology Oleg Sorokin repeatedly took part in working meetings with representatives of the Ministry of AYUSH, Ayurvedic colleges, clinics, pharmaceutical companies and research institutes in Moscow at the Embassy of India in the Russian Federation, as well as on November 19, 2018. He took a speech at a meeting of the state Duma Committee on health issues. The topic of the report was the following question: "How to legalize Traditional medicine and Ayurveda in Russia?". Following the meeting of the state Duma Committee, significant changes were prepared for the article 50 of the Federal Law 323 on CAM and traditional medicine, which, in turn, changes legislation rules for traditional medicine specialists. In the nearest future we expect serious positive changes in this area.

However, moving forward is the key to success, so even in December our company does not stop its work, on December 1-2 in Moscow was held a seminar on pulse diagnosis, in which new VedaPulse users had the opportunity to systematize knowledge on Ayurveda, pulse diagnosis, traditional Chinese medicine, herbal and aromatherapy.

VedaPulse team completes the year on a high note, 14-17 December, it took part at the World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) and Arogya-2018 exhibition which was held in Ahmedabad (Gujarat, India).
