Structure
The Structure tab contains information about the skin's structure, its functions, and features based on the analysis of 3 parameters: Skin Permeability, and nutrient deficiencies on the Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen scales.
The tab is presented in the form of 3 scales and a text block.
The Skin Permeability index reflects the skin's ability to facilitate the transdermal penetration of cosmetic and therapeutic products, as well as various xenobiotics, pharmaceuticals, household chemicals, and other allergens.
-
A high index value (in the red zone) indicates damage to or weakening of the skin barrier. This can be caused by various factors such as age-related changes, exposure to aggressive external factors (UV radiation, pollution), improper skincare, or skin diseases. In such cases, the risk of uncontrolled absorption of substances increases, which can lead to irritation, allergic reactions, and other undesirable consequences.
-
A low index value (in the yellow zone), on the other hand, indicates a high barrier function of the skin. In this case, the penetration of active ingredients from cosmetic products is hindered, reducing their effectiveness. A feeling of heaviness or a film on the skin after applying cosmetics may occur. When choosing cosmetic products and procedures, the skin permeability index must be taken into account in order to select the most suitable products and methods for delivering active ingredients into the skin.
The Hyaluronic Acid Index indirectly reflects the state of tissue hydration and the level of hyaluronic acid in the body. The primary purpose of this index is to identify a potential hyaluronic acid deficiency, which may be associated with age-related changes, exposure to external factors (ultraviolet radiation, environmental pollution), or individual characteristics of the body.
-
Low index values indicate the need to replenish hyaluronic acid levels. This can be achieved through various methods: taking biologically active supplements, topical application of cosmetic products, or undergoing cosmetological procedures.
The Collagen Index assesses the condition of the skin's collagen framework. This index allows cosmetologists and aesthetic medicine specialists to predict the degree of firmness, elasticity, and hydration of a patient's skin, which is necessary for developing personalized rejuvenation and care programs.
-
An elevated Collagen Index value may indicate sufficient hydration and a high collagen content in the skin, which is typical for young people.
-
A decreased index value, on the other hand, points to reduced elasticity, a tendency toward wrinkle formation, dryness, laxity, sagging, and other signs characteristic of collagen fiber degradation, which is often observed with age or due to the negative impact of environmental factors.
