Acupuncture

The Acupuncture software module is designed to generate personalized acupuncture prescription, taking into account the client's constitutional characteristics, meridian energy levels, and biorhythmic activity of acupuncture points.

Acupuncture

To get started, select an acupuncture method from the Zhen (acupuncture) or Jiu (moxibustion) categories.

Acupuncture method by categories

Selecting the Zhen (Needling) method allows the specialist to generate a customized prescription for:

Selecting the Jiu (Moxibustion) method is intended for specialists applying heat-based techniques, such as:

Next, select the date and time for the initial procedure.

Choose a specific disease or select the Normalization of functional state option from the nosological filter.

Nosological filter

The nosological filter allows for the selection of either a preventative or therapeutic treatment mode for 244 different conditions, including both acute and chronic states.

By selecting the Normalization of functional state function, you can create a prescription tailored to any initial condition, accounting for whether the process is acute or chronic.

A personalized prescription will be generated for a 4-day course. The instructions for each prescription explain the direction of stimulation for the points and the principles of their combination.

Personalized prescription

The acupuncture prescription is interactive, allowing you to view the location of each point. It also includes a detailed description of each point's properties across six parameters: location, characteristics, effect, indications, special features, and puncture technique.

The Atlas of Acupuncture Points contains information on 361 points located on the 12 primary and 2 midline meridians. For each point, the name is provided in three nomenclatures: English (the WHO-recommended standard), French, and Chinese (with a Russian translation).

The specialist can edit the acupuncture prescription independently. To do this, right-click on a point and select Delete or Add.

Editing the acupuncture prescription

Note: Editing a prescription requires in-depth knowledge of acupuncture point formulation.

An Atlas of BAPs (Biologically Active Points) is also available. To access it, set the nosological filter to the Off option. Then, select a meridian from the Atlas of BAP drop-down list, followed by a specific point on that meridian.

In both modes — whether using the nosological filter with its corresponding acupuncture prescription or in the BAP Atlas reference mode — you can switch between displaying the meridian or the individual point. A toggle switch labeled Meridian/BAP is located at the bottom of the image for this purpose.
