Music of the Heart

The Music of the Heart software module is designed to transform a heart rhythm recording into music and perform a musical analysis of Heart Rate Variability (HRV). It calculates the proportion of consonant and dissonant chords, as well as the ratio of major to minor tonalities in the heart's melody. This facilitates a dynamic assessment of a person's functional state.

With every heartbeat, a new note is generated, forming a piece of music. Heart rate variability (HRV) is transformed into "heart music," which reflects the time-frequency structure of the heart's rhythm. Each specific heart rate range corresponds to a particular musical key. The higher the heart rate, the higher the pitch; the lower the heart rate, the lower the pitch.

The heart's melody can be played using various instruments. Click the Choose Instrument button to select one.

Saving a melody as a midi file or sheet music

To save the melody, click the appropriate button to export it as a MIDI file or sheet music.

In the assessment of the circular Dissonance/Consonance diagram, attention should be paid to the sectors marked in blue and green:

The sectors highlighted in various shades of green represent consonant (harmonious) intervals.

The sector highlighted in blue represents dissonant (inharmonious) intervals.

The bar chart displays the ratio of major to minor keys.

Tracking indicators over time (from the initial assessement through subsequent ones) allows for an assessment of the overall functional state and the effectiveness of the chosen corrective methods, such as the use of supplements, phytotherapy, aromatherapy, and others.
