Histogram
The Histogram tab displays the frequency of distribution of RR-intervals. The height and width of the base of the histogram are estimated:
-
The height of the histogram indicates the most common duration of RR-interval. It corresponds the Mode amplitude (AMo). The physiological meaning of this indicator is the price of adaptation, i.e., how many resources the body mobilizes to maintain homeostasis. In a healthy person AMo is in the range of 30-50%. The increase in the value of the AMo indicates that the body has to increase the cost of energy to maintain homeostasis.
-
The width of the histogram shows the corridor of variability of cardiac cycle (RR-interval). In a healthy person, a narrow corridor of variability of cardiac cycle – 750-850, wide – 650-1000 ms. Narrowing within the specified limits of the range of durations of the cycles of heart rate causes the heart begins to wear out, not having time to recover your energy.
A shift of the histogram graph to the right into the red zone indicates bradycardia, a decrease in heart rate, and to the left in the red zone – tachycardia, a rapid heartbeat.
In more detail the physiological significance of indicators of spectral analysis and histogram were examined in the article:
