Auriсulotherapy

The Auriculotherapy software module is designed to create a personalized acupuncture prescription based on a client's individual constitution and meridian balance, as well as clinical aspects, the presence of pain syndromes, and the client's brain hemisphere dominance.

Auriсulotherapy

To get started, run a test to determine the "dominant ear". This test consists of several variable steps. If you or your client has unilateral pain, the painful side should be selected.

Test for choosing the ear

Once the painful side is selected, the test is complete, and you can proceed to the nosological filter.

If no unilateral pain is identified, three additional questions will be presented.

Additional questions

After answering all the questions, the dominant ear is chosen automatically by the program. You can now proceed to work with the nosological filter.

Nosological filter

Select the Normalization of functional state option or a nosological group. Then, choose a specific disease.

Selecting filter values

The generated prescription outlines a two-day therapy program and consists of two parts:

You can add 1-2 additional points to the supportive points. To select these points, apply pressure with a probe. If tenderness (pain) is detected, you can add the point to the prescription.

Additional points

It is recommended to use the prescription over a 4-day period. The first and third sessions should be performed according to the 1st day prescription, and the second and fourth sessions should be performed according to the 2nd day prescription.

Following this, if necessary, a reassessment can be conducted to adjust the variable part of the prescription.

The prescription is interactive. Clicking on a point displays its description in the field at the bottom of the window. The corresponding area of the auricle and the selected point are also highlighted on the image to the left.

Prescription

The points and zones of the auricle are displayed in four different versions. The symbols for each are shown in the legend adjacent to the auricle image.

Symbols

Most points are marked by a black dot with an outline. When selected, these points are highlighted in red.

Point selection

Reflexogenic zones are outlined with a dotted line. When selected, a cross is displayed over the zone.

Reflexogenic zones

Some points are not visible on the surface of the auricle. For example, the Testicle point (32) is located on the inner side of the antitragus.

Testicle point (32)

The points located on the posterior surface of the auricle (105-108) are displayed as a projection onto the anterior surface.

The points on the posterior surface

The module includes a BAP Atlas, which describes 128 points on the auricle. Points can be searched by their number or by the anatomical area of the auricle.

BAP Atlas

Some points may have multiple variants. For example, point 72 is represented in five different variants. When you search for it by number, the program will automatically suggest all available options.

Multiple point options

Upon selecting a point, its description will be displayed, and the corresponding area of the auricle along with the selected point will be highlighted.

Description

When searching for a point by anatomical area of the auricle, all points located within that area will be presented for selection, and the selected anatomical zone will be highlighted.

Anatomical zone

Upon selecting a point, its description will be displayed. The corresponding area of the auricle and the selected point will be highlighted in the image.

If a point has a functional counterpart, it will also be displayed on the diagram. For example, when point 8-Eye I is selected, point 125-Eye II will be shown as its counterpart.
