Interstitium and Photobiomodulation in medicine. The human water model by V.V. Nebrat

The researchers of today have encountered a striking gnoseological fact: the deeper you delve into the object of your research, the more clearly you realize how broad and vast it actually is. It also becomes clear how much of that still remains behind the scenes, with the whole body of knowledge gathered so far representing merely the tip of the iceberg. In other words, the unexplored part may turn out to be much greater in scope than everything you have learned before.

It may seem incredible, but it appears that doctors and biologists will soon have to radically reconsider the previously established knowledge about humans. Moreover, the very idea of living organisms may need a radical revision in view of recent discoveries that can not only influence medicine but also make us shift our worldview in a major way.

The advances discussed in this article are somewhat akin to the unexpected discovery of the microworld, which European naturalists were clueless about for centuries, until one day an entire universe opened up before them directly affecting our lives. Apparently, we now find ourselves at the doorstep of a similar sensation. This turning point was highlighted by Vladimir Nebrat, PhD, a researcher at the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Lymphology (branch of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS) in his report at the 14th International Multiconference on Bioinformatics of Genome Regulation and Structure/Systems Biology under the section of “Interstitial space and long-distance extravascular drainage/transport pathways”.

Let us recall that the term interstitium refers to space between cells of any structures in the body, where water is present (in addition to capillaries, nerve, and connective fibers). According to Vladimir Nebrat, it is this water that promotes electromagnetic balance via ionic processes thereby affecting the activity of literally all structures in the human body.

This sensational discovery is the result of many years of laboratory research and systematization of data obtained from foreign research papers. According to Vladimir Nebrat, in 2018, a new anatomical structure was discovered, namely, a system of long-distance interstitial channels forming a kind of internal aqueous environment of a human body. A year later, thanks to the results obtained by Chinese researchers, these channels were successfully visualized. Further research revealed a rather extensive network of such channels running along veins, arteries, and nerves. Notably, they are in a certain way consistent with the acupoints playing an important role in traditional Eastern medicine. As Vladimir Nebrat noted, this channel pattern strongly resembles the theoretical structure of the network of channels (Meridians) described in the ancient Chinese medical treatise Huangdi Neijing!

Currently, 12 main channels (the longest ones) and 36 additional channels have been identified using MRI methods. “The most interesting thing here,” Vladimir Nebrat emphasized, “is that ionic currents have been discovered in this system. They travel along completely different paths throughout these channels. These are purely electric currents! They move in opposite directions and produce the total current of the human body. This total current causes the channels to be aligned along two directions, longitudinally (along the body) and transversely. The transversely aligned channels are open to the external environment, i.e. they exchange photons and water.”

Based on the results of many years of research, Vladimir Nebrat has developed a new human water model taking into account all the fluids of the body, whose main component is water. The author interprets it as an ordered water system that evenly fills our body.

This is a dynamic model, and it is fundamentally important that the flow of photons is the driving force behind it. The author explained that as photons reach the water level, they contribute to the formation of H+ and OH- ions, which in turn start to act in a directed fashion. Thus, a cycle associated with the accumulation and removal of hydrogen ions emerges. This is somewhat reminiscent of charging and discharging a capacitor, Vladimir Nebrat explained. In other words, one might say that human body as a system also charges and discharges, which is a natural cyclic process.

Based on this model, a hypothesis was posed that it is the interstitial water, not the cells, that is the primary target and the key entity involved in all photobiological processes in the body, which are, importantly, governed by the flow of solar photons. Hence, water here cannot be considered merely a solvent. The author states that the mentioned water network controls the nervous system, cardiovascular system, and lymphatic system. This puzzle piece was missing from our biological knowledge since back in the day, and no proper attention was paid to water and electromagnetic fields. And, according to Vladimir Nebrat, we have finally reached the point, when both can be thoroughly studied.

Academician Nikolai Kolchanov, the Head of Research at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS, notes: “The discovery of interstitial channels and their visualization is an outstanding achievement that breaks down barriers between Western medicine and traditional Eastern medicine.”

As we can see, modern natural science is making obvious steps to bridge the gap with the concepts of traditional medicine. At present, we are standing at the brink of synthesizing the two paradigms, the East and the West, which, we dare to hope, will boost our scientific development to a qualitatively new level.
